Courier Service from Mumbai to Kuwait, Door to Door
Over 10 lakh Indians live and work in Kuwait, one of the largest expatriate communities in the country, so a lot of what is sent from India to Kuwait is personal: groceries and masalas from home, clothes, gifts for Eid and Diwali, and documents needed for jobs, visas and family paperwork. Our courier service from Mumbai to Kuwait is built around those everyday needs. We pick up from your address in Mumbai, prepare the export documents, move the shipment by air and arrange clearance and delivery in Kuwait.
Kuwait is also a busy business route. Exporters in Mumbai send samples, garments, electronics and spare parts to buyers in Kuwait City and the industrial areas, and we support those shipments with commercial invoices and customs paperwork.
Mumbai to Kuwait Courier: Delivery Time and Service Options
Delivery times quoted online for India to Kuwait range from “next day” to nearly two weeks, often on the same page. The honest answer is that flight time is short and customs clearance decides the rest. For a correctly documented parcel, plan on the following.
| Service | Typical transit* | Suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Express | 3–5 working days | Documents, urgent parcels, samples |
| Standard | 5–8 working days | Groceries, clothes, gifts, planned shipments |
| Air cargo | Quoted per shipment | Heavy or commercial consignments |
*Indicative, counted from pickup. Customs inspection, incomplete paperwork, public holidays and remote addresses can add time. Parcels above 50 kg usually need extra handling time.
What People Send from Mumbai to Kuwait
- Groceries and masalas: packaged spices, snacks, sweets, tea and pantry items. Pork and alcohol are not allowed, and fresh produce is not suited to the journey.
- Clothes and ethnic wear: sarees, kurtas, school uniforms and festive outfits.
- Documents: degree certificates, experience letters, police clearance and family papers. Use our document shipping checklist so nothing is missed.
- Electronics: laptops, phones, tablets and accessories. Loose lithium batteries have air transport limits, explained in our guide to shipping lithium batteries safely.
- Gifts and personal effects: watches, books, toys and keepsakes for family and friends.
- Business shipments: samples, spare parts and e-commerce orders, with an invoice and packing list.
Kuwait Customs: What to Expect
Kuwait Customs checks incoming parcels against the declaration, so accurate paperwork matters more than speed. As a GCC member, Kuwait applies the common GCC tariff, which is generally around 5% of the CIF value (cost, insurance and freight) for commercial goods. Personal gifts and documents are usually treated more lightly, but rules and thresholds change. A Kuwait customs rules summary is a useful cross-check, and we confirm what applies to your parcel when you book.
When the recipient is a resident, Kuwait Customs and the local delivery partner may ask for the Civil ID (or passport number for visitors), so make sure the name and number on the shipment match the ID exactly.
| Shipment type | What we usually need |
|---|---|
| Personal parcels and gifts | Sender’s photo ID; itemised contents with values; recipient’s full name as on Civil ID or passport, Kuwait address and mobile number |
| Documents | Sender’s ID; recipient’s name, address and phone |
| Commercial goods | Commercial invoice, packing list, IEC, GSTIN and export clearance details; the consignee’s import details in Kuwait |
| Medicines | Prescription, original packs and generic names; Ministry of Health approval where required |

Courier Charges from Mumbai to Kuwait
Rates advertised for Kuwait vary widely from site to site, and the same site often shows different figures in different places. We prefer to quote on the actual parcel. Your price depends on:
- Chargeable weight: the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5,000).
- Service level: Express is faster and costs more than Standard.
- Type of goods: food, medicines and commercial cargo need additional handling.
- Extras: packing material, transit cover for valuables and any duty payable in Kuwait.
A snug box, one combined shipment and Standard service are the easiest ways to save.

If you are unsure about an item, ask us before you pack.
Staying Safe: Scam Messages and Parcels for Strangers
Parcel scams are common in the Gulf. Kuwait Customs does not collect duty through a link sent by SMS or WhatsApp, so treat any message demanding a payment through a link as suspect and check with the sender or with us first. Also, never carry or send a parcel for someone you do not know, and never send a package whose contents you have not seen yourself. You can be held responsible for whatever is inside.
Delivery Across Kuwait
We deliver across all six governorates, including Kuwait City, Hawalli, Salmiya, Farwaniya, Jahra, Ahmadi, Fahaheel, Mangaf, Abu Halifa and Mahboula. Shipments arrive through Kuwait International Airport and continue with local partners to the address.
Address tip: Kuwait addresses are written by area, block, street and building or house number. Add a nearby landmark, the recipient’s mobile number and, if they have it, the PACI address number, so the courier can find the door on the first attempt.
Sending to Other Gulf Countries
Sending to family in another Gulf country as well? We also offer a courier service from Mumbai to Qatar, with the same pickup, paperwork support and tracking. For fixed rates by weight, see our tariff page.
Frequently Asked Questions For Courier Service to Kuwait
How do I send a courier from Mumbai to Kuwait?
Share the contents, weight and the recipient’s Kuwait address, choose Express or Standard and confirm the quote. We collect from your Mumbai address, prepare the export paperwork, fly the shipment to Kuwait and arrange clearance and delivery. You get a tracking number to follow it.
How long does a courier from India to Kuwait take?
Express usually takes 3–5 working days and Standard 5–8 working days from pickup. Customs checks, missing paperwork, remote addresses and holidays can add time. Be careful with next-day claims, because clearance rarely allows it.
What are the courier charges from Mumbai to Kuwait per kg?
There is no fixed per-kg rate that fits every parcel. The price depends on chargeable weight, service level, contents and delivery area, plus any duty. Send us the details and we quote before pickup.
What is the cheapest way to send a parcel from Mumbai to Kuwait?
Choose Standard, pack in a right-sized box, combine items into one shipment and declare the contents accurately so the parcel is not held for inspection.
Does the recipient need a Civil ID in Kuwait?
Residents are usually asked for their Civil ID, and visitors for a passport, so the name and number on the shipment should match exactly. Share the details with us at booking so the parcel is not delayed at handover.
Can I send Indian food and masalas to Kuwait?
Yes, sealed and shelf-stable items such as spices, snacks, sweets and tea are commonly sent. Pork and alcohol are not allowed, and meat or dairy products need checking before pickup.
Can I send medicines to Kuwait from India?
Only with a valid prescription, in original packs and for the recipient’s personal use. Many medicines need prior approval from Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, and codeine- and amphetamine-based medicines are prohibited. Ask us before you ship any medicine.
I got an SMS asking me to pay Kuwait customs duty through a link. Is it real?
Treat it as a scam. Kuwait Customs does not collect duty through SMS links. Do not click, and contact the sender or us to confirm the status of your parcel.
Will the recipient pay duty or taxes in Kuwait?
It depends on the contents and declared value. Commercial goods generally attract about 5% under the common GCC tariff, while personal gifts and documents are often treated differently. We tell you what to expect at booking.
Can businesses ship to Kuwait regularly?
Yes. We support regular exporters and online sellers with commercial invoices, packing lists and customs paperwork for each consignment. Call us to set up a repeat arrangement.
