Courier Service from Mumbai to Thailand, Picked Up at Your Door
About 4 lakh people of Indian origin live in Thailand, mostly in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai, and Mumbai traders have long dealt with Thai buyers in garments, jewellery and household goods. Our courier service from Mumbai to Thailand covers both kinds of customers. We collect from your address in Mumbai, prepare the export documents, fly the shipment to Bangkok and coordinate clearance with the Thai Customs Department until the parcel reaches the recipient.
Thailand is a friendly destination for most everyday items, but it is very strict about a few things, especially e-cigarettes. Knowing the rules before you pack is the quickest way to avoid a seized parcel.

Thailand Customs, VAT and Documents
Thailand charges 7% VAT on imports at present, and duty depends on the type of goods. Thresholds for low-value parcels have changed recently and are reported differently by different sources, so we confirm what applies to your parcel when you book. Honest declarations of contents and value keep things moving. Our guide on shipping international parcels without customs delays covers the common mistakes.
| Shipment type | Typically required |
|---|---|
| Personal parcels and gifts | Sender’s photo ID and address proof; itemised contents with values; recipient’s full name, Thai address with postal code and phone number |
| Documents | Sender’s ID; recipient’s name, full address and phone number |
| Commercial goods | Commercial invoice, packing list, IEC, GSTIN and export clearance details; consignee import details; Thai FDA, TISI or telecom approval for regulated goods |

E-Cigarettes and Other Items Thailand Does Not Allow
Thailand treats electronic cigarettes as illegal. Importing them has been banned since 2014, and the Thai government’s notice on electric and electronic cigarettes lists penalties of up to 10 years in prison for importers, with seizure of the goods. Even helping to receive or transport smuggled e-cigarettes is an offence. We never accept vapes, e-cigarettes or vape liquid.
Not accepted
- Vapes, e-cigarettes and vape liquid
- Narcotics, psychotropic substances and non-medical cannabis products
- Pornographic or obscene material
- Counterfeit and pirated goods, including fake currency
- Products from protected wildlife species
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, pepper spray and weapons
- Cash and currency
- Flammables, aerosols, compressed gases and other dangerous goods
Allowed with conditions
- Medicines: personal-use prescription medicine is generally accepted for about 30 to 90 days with the prescription. Controlled drugs need prior approval, and stimulant-type medicines such as Vyvanse are prohibited.
- Food and cosmetics: commercial quantities may need Thai FDA notification. Plants and agricultural products may need a phytosanitary certificate.
- Electronics: phones and laptops are fine. Wireless and telecom equipment may need approval from Thailand’s telecom regulator.
- Antiques and Buddha images: rules are strict and sometimes need a permit, so check with us first.
- Batteries: devices with built-in batteries can usually go. Loose lithium batteries have air transport limits.
If you are unsure about an item, ask us before you pack.
Courier Charges from India to Thailand
Prices for India to Thailand differ between websites, so we quote on the actual parcel. The price depends on chargeable weight (the higher of actual and volumetric weight, length × width × height in cm ÷ 5,000), the service, the contents and any VAT or duty. A snug box, one combined shipment and Standard service are the easiest ways to save.
Delivery Across Thailand
We deliver across Thailand, including Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Hua Hin and Khon Kaen. Shipments arrive through Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, and continue with local delivery partners to the door.
Address tip: include the building or house number, road, sub-district, district, province and the five-digit postal code, plus a mobile number. Writing the address in Thai as well as English helps local couriers. Sending to Southeast Asia more widely? See our courier service for Singapore.
